Yoga is so much more than movement and postures, there is a fascinating and inspiring philosophy that underpins it.  Although the philosophy is hundred of years old it is still relevant in our modern world and is a great source of guidance on how to live a harmonious, fulfilled and contented life.

Satsang meaning “being in the company of the truth” is an opportunity to come together and talk about the philosophy and what we understand of it.  We share insights and hopefully come to a shared understanding and how we can integrate it into our lives.

We begin the session with a guided meditation to ground and open us up to insight.

Bridget will choose and read a passage from yogic philosophy and we will then contemplate and discuss it. We are aiming at allowing wisdom to surface, instead of giving opinions. We might take the attitude that the wisdom inside the text is calling forth inner wisdom from each of us, and that it will reveal itself as we allow it. Understand that each of us has a natural intelligence that can help bring it forth, and that wisdom can arise through any of us.

It is important to listen and notice any judgments that may be arising and let them go.

We will finish with a meditation on the insights that arose during our discussion

We just need to be open minded and hearted to all that arises, to cultivate the witness and together we learn, meditate, grow and blossom.
