Feel Good Friday Yoga

Position: Yoga Teacher

Biography: Yoga is far more than just a physical workout.  My hope is that you leave my classes feeling better that you did when you came, feeling more relaxed and re-energised.  Essentially I want you to have a holistic experience, that leaves you feeling inspired and motivated. I love to combine on a range of mediums, such as creativity, journal writing, yoga, and guided visualisations.

About me

Yoga is far more than just a physical workout.  My hope is that you leave my classes feeling better that you did when you came.  You should leave the class feeling more relaxed and re-energised.  Essentially I want you to have a holistic experience, that leaves you feeling inspired and motivated.

My yoga journey  started in 2008 out of necessity.  I was desperate to get rid of lower-backache which I had been struggling with for a number of months.  I started seeing a Chiropractor twice a week.

After being examined by the Chiropractor he reassuringly told me that if I had been a horse he would shoot me!  This did not exactly fill me with confidence.  Neither did it empower me to believe I could make a full recovery.

After a few weeks of making virtually no progress I decided to try something different.

Intuitively I started to stretch and roll about on the floor at home.  I did any movements that felt soothing; anything that I thought might help to ease the discomfort and pain.

I signed up for a weekly yoga class here at Om Yoga Studio with Anji.   Taking what I learned in class, I started to create my own daily practice and yoga routine.

Within three months I was pain free.  No more lower back-ache. 

Yoga had worked its magic!

From that moment on I was a full-on yoga convert.  I would happily share with anyone and everyone the wonders of yoga because I had experienced its powerful effect first hand.

I went on to complete my Vinyasa yoga teacher training with Yoga Space in 2014.

Before teaching yoga I delivered well-being courses and training in various community settings. 

I now combine my love of yoga and workshop delivery.  My workshops draw on a range of mediums, such as creativity, journal writing, yoga, and guided visualisations.
